At about 6:00 a.m. the same day, the Hon La Port Border Guard Station received a report from Mr. Nguyen Hoang Vy, an employee of Mui Ong Fishing Port, that fishing boat BV-93600-TS, captained by Mr. Thai Quoc Toan (born in 1981, Long Hai, Ho Chi Minh City) and 3 crew members, had sunk about 500m southwest of Hon La Island.

Afterwards, four crew members were safely rescued by fishing boat BV-93601-TS operated by Mr. Dao Duy Quang (born in 1991, Thuan Bac, Khanh Hoa ) operating nearby.

The two fishing boats owned by Ms. Le Thi Hue (born in 1971, Long Hai, Ho Chi Minh City) had just completed export procedures at Mui Ong fishing port at 1:15 p.m. on December 6, 2025. The boats were anchored waiting to set sail when the BV-93600-TS boat had a water leak and sank.
Immediately upon receiving the information, Roon Border Guard Station dispatched 4 officers, 1 military medic and boat ST-660 to the scene to check the health and support the psychological stability of the crew members.

Currently, all 4 crew members are safe on the BV-93601-TS ship anchored in Hon La port waters. The ship owner is contacting the salvage unit for further handling.
