Tay Ninh to soon deploy Go Dau - Xa Mat expressway

On the morning of December 5, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the proposed investment policy for the Go Dau - Xa Mat Expressway Project, Phase 1. The meeting was held in a combination of in-person and online meetings with localities where the project passes through.

Working session scene

According to the investor's report, the Go Dau - Xa Mat expressway project phase 1 (section from Go Dau to Tay Ninh city) is under the public-private partnership (PPP) method, BOT contract type . The project is studied according to the standard of type A expressway with 4 lanes, design speed of 120 km/h according to TCVN 5729:2012; total route length is about 28.03 km.

Consulting unit presented at the working session

The expressway starts at the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway in Phuoc Thanh commune and ends at Xa Mat border gate. The project passes through the following localities: Phuoc Thanh commune, Thanh Duc commune, Long Hoa ward, Cau Khoi commune, Ninh Thanh ward. The main construction items include: roadbed, road surface, bridge and culvert system, median strip, service road, drainage system and traffic safety works . The total investment is expected to be more than 10,000 billion VND , with the need to clear about 248 hectares.

Concluding the working session , Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam highly appreciated the working spirit of the consulting unit and the investor consortium in the process of researching and proposing the project. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the consulting unit to further study the plan to expand the scale of the road to 6-8 lanes instead of 4 lanes as initially proposed, to ensure traffic capacity and be consistent with the long-term development orientation of the province and the border gateway area. On that basis, the consulting unit needs to readjust the site clearance plan, optimize the design of the roadbed, intersections and auxiliary works system to both ensure traffic safety and create favorable conditions for connection between areas. At the same time, he also require consulting unit Calculate compensation, support and resettlement costs according to the 2026 land price list, and develop full feasible financial scenarios according to each investment scale./.
