From January 1, 2025, cars using clean energy, green energy, or environmentally friendly technologies will be marked with a green inspection sticker.
The Ministry of Transport has just issued Circular 47/2024 regulating the procedures for initial inspection and exemption from inspection for motor vehicles and specialized vehicles; and the procedures for exhaust emission inspection of motorcycles and mopeds.
According to current regulations, vehicle inspection centers issue yellow inspection certificates and inspection stickers for commercial transport vehicles and green stickers for non-commercial transport vehicles.
However, the Law on Road Traffic Safety, effective from January 1, 2025, stipulates that commercial transport vehicles are distinguished by license plate color. Specifically, yellow license plates are issued to commercial transport vehicles. Therefore, commercial transport vehicles no longer require a separate inspection sticker color as they currently do.
Circular 47 of the Ministry of Transport clearly stipulates the inspection process and inspection sticker mẫu. Specifically, from January 1, 2025, after inspection, vehicles that pass five inspection stages including: identification and general; upper part of the vehicle; braking efficiency; environmental; and finally, inspection of the lower part of the vehicle will be issued an inspection certificate and sticker.
Circular 47 clearly stipulates that there are three types of inspection certificates and stamps.
Specifically, the inspection certificate and the green inspection sticker are used for motor vehicles that utilize clean, green, and environmentally friendly energy.

Inspection certificate, orange-yellow inspection sticker used for other motor vehicles.

Inspection certificate, pinkish-purple inspection sticker for specialized motorcycles.

The inspection sticker is affixed to the vehicle as follows: For vehicles with a driver's compartment and a front windshield, the sticker is placed in the upper right corner, or on the inside of the front windshield. The front of the sticker faces outwards.
For trailers, semi-trailers, and specialized motor vehicles, a protective layer for the inspection sticker is required during use. The front side must be protected by a transparent material so that the contents can be seen, and it should be affixed to the vehicle in easily visible locations.
The inspection sticker is affixed by staff at the vehicle inspection facility if the vehicle is inspected at that facility. Vehicle owners can affix the sticker themselves if the vehicle is exempt from the initial inspection, is inspected outside the facility, or is being re-inspected.
