Thai Nguyen announces the inauguration of the largest stadium in the region and the four-team football tournament

On the morning of December 2, the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province held a press conference to inform about the inauguration of Thai Nguyen Provincial Stadium and the 2025 Four-Hero Football Tournament.

At the press conference, a representative of the Thai Nguyen Department of Construction said that the Thai Nguyen Provincial Stadium project (venue for the 2025 Tu Hung Football Tournament) is a key project of the province and the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.

Thai Nguyen Stadium has an area of 15.47 hectares and is part of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Sports Complex Detailed Planning Project. Upon completion, this will be the largest stadium in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, equivalent to Hang Day Stadium.

This is an international standard football field, surrounded by Pitse with 8 running lanes and 10 straight running lanes.

The grandstand has a capacity of 22,000 seats, including grandstands A and B (2 x 7,500 seats) with roof; grandstands C and D (2 x 3,500 seats). The items of power supply, lighting, water supply and drainage, wastewater treatment plant, internal traffic, transformer station... are invested synchronously.

The total investment of the project is about 535 billion VND, now completed. The investor is preparing to organize the inauguration ceremony, scheduled to be held on December 19.

In addition, Thai Nguyen province is also directing contractors to quickly complete the connection of some roads to the stadium. In addition, Thai Nguyen provincial police and related units are also planning to coordinate traffic flow to serve people coming to watch the football tournament.

Regarding the tournament, Mr. Doan Van Cong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: The Tu Hung - Thai Nguyen Football Tournament in 2025 is expected to open at 6:30 p.m. on December 21 and close at 8:00 p.m. on December 25, 2025 at Thai Nguyen Provincial Stadium.

The tournament brings together 4 teams from national professional football clubs including: Hanoi FC, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, The Cong Viettel, PVF People's Public Security Club.

The tournament consists of 6 matches taking place on 21, 24 and 27/12/2025. There are 2 matches each day.

Each participating club can register a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 30 players. The clubs will compete in a round robin to calculate points and rank. The prize structure is expected to have 4 rankings for the whole tournament including: Champion Club, Second Club, Third Club and Style Award.

The other 5 awards include: Best Referee Team, Top Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Best Player and Best Foreign Player.

The total value of the prizes is 700 million VND.

A total of 22,500 tickets are expected to be distributed free of charge to residents and guests.

Also within the framework of the program, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen province signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Vietnam Cable Television Corporation.
