The Foreign Affairs Committee has reviewed the Government 's Proposal; gradually put this work into order, further improving the quality of reviewing proposals for approval of the appointment and dismissal of Ambassadors.
On the morning of August 5, at the National Assembly House, the Foreign Affairs Committee held its 9th Plenary Session to examine the Prime Minister 's Proposal on approving the appointment of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha emphasized that since the implementation of the 2013 Constitution, the Foreign Affairs Committee has examined the Government's Proposal on the approval of the appointment of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad before submitting it to the National Assembly Standing Committee for consideration; gradually bringing this work into order, further improving the quality of examination of proposals for approval of the appointment and dismissal of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad.
According to Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha, in recent times, the Foreign Affairs Committee has made many innovations in the work of examining proposals for approval of appointments and dismissals of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad, contributing to building a professional, comprehensive and modern Vietnamese diplomacy.
Also at the meeting, delegates heard the Prime Minister's Report on the approval of the appointment of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad; and heard the nominated personnel, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the People's Republic of China concurrently serving as the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, present their work plans for their term.
In addition, delegates also discussed and gave opinions on the dossier for approval of the appointment of Ambassadors, criteria for appointing Ambassadors, work orientation and action plan of personnel nominated for Ambassadors.
At the end of the meeting, the Foreign Affairs Committee agreed to submit to the National Assembly Standing Committee for consideration a proposal to approve the appointment of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad at the August meeting./.
