The People's Committee of Thanh Ha district has suspended the operation of six passenger ferry terminals across the river that do not meet the required conditions, including: Nhan ferry (Thanh Quang commune), Tu ferry (Vinh Lap commune), Bau ferry, Gang ferry (Thanh Hong commune), Chieng ferry (Thanh Xuan district), and Sy ferry (An Phuong district). Most of these ferry terminals lack vehicle registration procedures and have not strictly complied with the regulations of the Inland Waterway Traffic Law and related regulations.
The People's Committee of Thanh Ha District has ordered all owners of ferry terminals operating across the river to cease transporting passengers and goods. Those who continue to operate will be held accountable under the law.
The Chairpersons of the People's Committees of the communes are responsible for informing and educating the owners of passenger ferry terminals across the river within their jurisdiction and will be held accountable to the Chairperson of the District People's Committee if they are allowed to continue operating.
