Thanh Hoa elected two additional Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee

(Dan Tri) - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Director of the Department of Finance, were elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, term 2021-2026.

On the morning of November 3, the Standing Committee of the 18th Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council held the 35th session to review, discuss and resolve a number of important contents.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Doan Anh, Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that this is a very important thematic meeting, taking place right after the 20th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

According to Mr. Nguyen Doan Anh, at the meeting, the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province discussed, reviewed and decided on the contents of socio- economic development, in order to promptly concretize policies and allocate resources, contributing to the successful implementation of development goals and tasks of 2025 and the following years.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council delegates elected Mr. Le Quang Hung, Director of the Department of Finance and Mr. Cao Van Cuong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, term 2021-2026.

In addition, the Provincial People's Council also elected additional members of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, including: Nguyen Tien Hieu, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; Le Van Trung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Le Van Cuong, Director of the Department of Health; Hoang Van Dong, Director of the Department of Construction.

The Provincial People's Council also elected Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hai to hold the position of Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term XVIII, and Mr. Luong Tien Thanh to hold the position of Head of the Ethnic Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term XVIII.

The meeting also considered and resolved to remove from the position of member of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026, Mr. Trinh Huy Trieu, former Director of the Department of Construction and Mr. Pham Nguyen Hong, former Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, due to transfer to other jobs.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council also reviewed reports and submissions of the Provincial People's Committee, including adjusting the medium-term public investment plan of state budget capital for the 2021-2025 period; adjusting the public investment plan for 2025 (phase 2) of investment capital in the local budget balance managed by the province; adjusting and allocating public capital from the central budget to implement the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2025 under the conditions of two-level local government.

In addition, the Provincial People's Council also considered the proposal to replace Resolution No. 186/2021/NQ-HDND regulating incentive policies for students, teachers and managers of Lam Son High School for the Gifted and other high schools in Thanh Hoa province.
