Thanh Hoa: Clarifying the case of a teacher coming to a student's house and slapping him

On the afternoon of August 13, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province said it had asked the Principal of Vinh Loc High School to specifically report the incident of a teacher slapping a student for handling.

Previously, a 40-second video clip appeared on social media showing a man arriving at a house on a motorbike, calling a young child out into the yard, and repeatedly slapping them in the face.

Initial verification indicates the incident occurred at 9:33 AM on August 8th in Tay Do commune ( Thanh Hoa province). The man in the video is Mr. VXT, an English teacher at Vinh Loc High School; the child who was beaten is a student who just finished 7th grade and is preparing to enter 8th grade.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh, Principal of Vinh Loc High School, said that Mr. T. is related to the student and has been tutoring him since the third grade. The cause of the incident was determined to be that while playing with friends, the student said, "I don't understand Mr. T.'s lessons," which angered Mr. T., leading him to go to the student's house and slap him three times in front of the student's mother.

The incident is currently being investigated further by the authorities.
