According to the 163 newspaper, Buakaw Banchamek will face Chinese kickboxer Han Wenbao (nicknamed King Kong) at the RWS event held in Rajadamnern (Bangkok, Thailand) on December 21st.
Buakaw Banchamek (born in 1982) is an icon of the Muaythai and kickboxing world . Besides his Muay Thai championship belts, Buakaw Banchamek is also famous for his two K-1 World MAX kickboxing championships in 2004 and 2006. On October 19th, Buakaw Banchamek drew with Japanese fighter Kouzi Tanaka in his first boxing match.
Buakaw Banchamek will face Chinese kickboxer Han Wenbao next month.
Meanwhile, Han Wenbao (born in 1997) is a renowned Chinese kickboxer. In 2023, he won the 67 kg weight class at the Wulinfeng (WLF) World Tournament China. Also in 2023, Combatpress magazine ranked Han Wenbao 10th in its Top Kickboxers list in the super featherweight division.
According to statistics, Han Wen Bao has won 42 out of 53 kickboxing matches, including 7 knockout victories. This year, Han Wen Bao defeated Jomthong Chuwattana (Thailand) and Denis Zuev (Belarus) at the WLF 547 event.
Buakaw has a very good record against Chinese fighters. The Thai boxer has faced Chinese opponents such as Sun Tao, Xu Yan, Zhu Zhipeng, Zhang Chunyu, Li Chengxiang, Yuan Bing, Yi Long, Gu Hui, Liu Hainan, Kong Lingfeng, Wang Weihao, Tian Xin, and Wang Yanlong. Except for the controversial loss to Yi Long, Buakaw has won against all the other Chinese fighters mentioned above.
