The Government has decided to add 41 border gates to the list of international border gates that allow foreigners to enter and exit with electronic visas.

Vietnam currently issues electronic visas (e-visas) to citizens of all countries and territories around the world.

Specifically, in addition to the current 13 air border gates, there are 4 more border gates: Long Thanh international airport (applicable when put into operation); Gia Binh international airport (applicable when put into operation); Vinh port and Chu Lai port.
The land border has 11 border gates added to the list, including: Dong Dang (railway), Lang Son province; Lao Cai (railway), Lao Cai province; Tra Linh, Cao Bang province; Long Sap, Son La province; Nam Giang, Da Nang; Le Thanh, Gia Lai province; Binh Hiep, Tay Ninh province; Thuong Phuoc international road/river border gate, Dong Thap province; Dinh Ba international border gate, Dong Thap province; Tan Nam, Tay Ninh province and Thanh Thuy, Tuyen Quang province.
Along with that, there are 26 port gates including: Van Gia, Quang Ninh province; Diem Dien, Hung Yen province; Hai Thinh port and Ninh Binh port, Ninh Binh province; Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port, Nghe An province; Son Duong port, Ha Tinh province; 3 ports Gianh, Hon La, Cua Viet in Quang Tri province; Thuan An port, Hue; Ky Ha port, Da Nang city; Sa Ky port, Quang Ngai province; Vung Ro port, Dak Lak province; Ca Na port and Ninh Chu port, Khanh Hoa province; Lam Dong has Phu Quy port, Lien Huong port; Ben Luc port gate, Tay Ninh province; Dong Thap port, Soai Rap - Hiep Phuoc, Dong Thap province; 3 ports My Thoi, Hon Chong, An Thoi in An Giang province; 2 ports Truong Long Hoa, Giao Long in Vinh Long province and Nam Can port gate, Ca Mau province.
Previously, Vietnam had 42 international border gates allowing foreigners to enter and exit with electronic visas.
Vietnam issues electronic visas (e-visas) to citizens of all countries and territories around the world from August 15, 2023. Foreign citizens can apply for e-visas for many different purposes such as tourism, visiting relatives, business, investment, labor... E-visas to Vietnam are valid for a maximum of 90 days (3 months), and can be valid for one or multiple entries.
