Candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program will take exams in the following subjects: Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, and Technology.
According to the exam plan of the Ministry of Education and Training , each candidate will only take 4 exams, including 2 compulsory subjects including Math and Literature and 2 elective subjects from the remaining subjects.

Based on the registered subjects, candidates will take the exam at the testing locations. Each elective subject has a test time of 50 minutes, the test is in the form of objective multiple choice. The 2018 General Education Program exam is also oriented by the Ministry of Education and Training according to a new structure and format, increasing practical questions.
Each exam has a different number of registrations. Specifically:
Physics has more than 354,000 candidates.
Chemistry has nearly 247,000 candidates.
Biology has nearly 73,000 candidates.
History dominated with more than 449,000 candidates.
Geography ranked second, after History, with more than 494,000 candidates.
Civics has nearly 5,000 candidates.
The subject of Economics and Law Education has more than 247,000 candidates.
Informatics has nearly 8,000 candidates.
Industrial Technology has nearly 2,500 candidates.
Agricultural Technology subject has nearly 22,000 candidates
English subject has nearly 358,000 candidates.
Russian had the least number of candidates with only 103 candidates; followed by French with 408 candidates; Chinese had nearly 4,400 candidates.
In addition, candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program will take the Natural Science exam (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and the Social Science exam (History, Geography, Civic Education).
Each exam has a duration of 50 minutes, multiple choice format.
