On October 1st, more than 10 containers of durian from a customer in Dak Lak were exported through Chu Lai port on a SITC vessel. THILOGI provided comprehensive logistics services for this durian shipment, including road transport, port services, warehousing, food quarantine procedures, and sea freight, at optimal costs.
The Central Highlands currently has the largest durian growing area in the country with 51,400 hectares and a production of 336,400 tons. The period from September to October is considered the main durian harvesting season, yielding the highest productivity of the year. To facilitate businesses and increase the value of Vietnamese durian exports, THILOGI focuses on improving the quality of its comprehensive logistics services and multimodal transport, thereby solving the problem of delivery and transportation from origin to destination.
To meet the needs of storing and preserving fresh fruit before export, THILOGI has built a cold storage system at Chu Lai port with an area of over 12,500 m² and a capacity of 1,000 refrigerated containers. In addition, with a large number of specialized refrigerated containers (40, 45 feet) and more than 200 specialized tractor-trailers for transporting agricultural goods, THILOGI connects agricultural products from the Central Highlands, Southern Laos, and Northern Cambodia to Chu Lai port for export. Simultaneously, products are preserved at temperatures appropriate to the regulations for each type.
In particular, the completion and commissioning of pier No. 2, with a length of 365m and a system of specialized high-capacity cranes, along with enhanced cooperation with international shipping lines (SITC, CMA CGM, ZIM, RCL, etc.), has helped Chu Lai port increase its capacity for receiving, loading, unloading, and releasing ships, optimizing the time it takes for agricultural products to reach the global market.
On average, Chu Lai port handles the export of more than 500 containers of fresh fruit (bananas, durians, etc.) to partners and customers each month, offering time-saving solutions and service fees that are 10-30% lower than other ports in the region.
