
In the first quarter, the Department of Transport focused on inspecting compliance with legal regulations on freight and passenger transport business; regularly monitoring and strictly handling passenger transport vehicles through vehicle tracking devices; and urging transport businesses to continue installing cameras on road transport vehicles.
According to statistics, from December 15, 2023 to March 14, 2024, the Department of Transport revoked 986 vehicle registration plates and badges issued to commercial transport vehicles. This included 128 plates and badges for vehicles violating speed limits, and 128 plates and badges for vehicles whose transport businesses were penalized by competent authorities with the revocation of their transport business licenses. The Department of Transport also revoked 12 transport business licenses for vehicles in accordance with regulations.
The Department of Transport has also intensified inspections of compliance with legal regulations in construction projects; reminded and guided investors, contractors, and construction units on operational roads to have plans to ensure traffic safety, comply with traffic safety measures; ensuring safe and smooth traffic, preventing traffic congestion and traffic accidents...
