The Prime Minister presided over the celebration of National Digital Transformation Day.

On October 12th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, presided over the program celebrating the National Digital Transformation Day 2024.

Attending the online meeting from the Quang Ninh branch were leaders representing various departments, agencies, and localities in the province.

On April 22, 2022, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 505/QD-TTg, designating October 10th of each year as the National Digital Transformation Day to accelerate the implementation of national digital transformation tasks and effectively carry out the National Digital Transformation Program until 2025, with a vision to 2030. In 2024, the national digital transformation theme was: Developing the digital economy with four pillars: information technology industry, digitization of economic sectors, digital governance, and digital data – important drivers for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.

The program celebrating National Digital Transformation Day 2024, now in its third consecutive year, demonstrates the determination of the Party, the State, the political system, the business community, and the entire nation to work together to promote national digital transformation, develop the digital economy, digital society, and digital citizens. This also clearly conveys Vietnam's commitment to pursuing a comprehensive, substantive, and effective digital transformation revolution to promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, improve the material and spiritual lives of the people, and modernize national governance, bringing benefits to all citizens and the country.

In Quang Ninh province, digital transformation is identified as a trend and a driving force for breakthroughs in sustainable and comprehensive development. Based on this, the province has issued a Resolution and developed a plan on digital transformation, closely adhering to the viewpoints, objectives, and directives in the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels and the Government's policies, to serve as the basis for implementation.

By 2025 and beyond, Quang Ninh aims to be among the top 5 provinces and cities nationwide in comprehensive digital transformation; and among the leading provinces nationwide in cybersecurity. To date, many goals and tasks have been completed on schedule; initially bringing conveniences and benefits to people's daily lives; and creating favorable conditions for organizations and businesses in carrying out investment and business procedures.

At the conference, based on suggestions from the Prime Minister, delegates focused on fully, objectively, and accurately assessing the achievements of national digital transformation in 2024, especially in the digital economy; proposing strategic directions, perspectives, and key tasks and solutions for digital transformation and the development of the digital economy. This was accompanied by dialogues and discussions with businesses and outstanding members of the Community Digital Technology Team.
