
The Can Tho City Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of nearly 3,800 martyrs who fell in the resistance wars, the struggle for national liberation and reunification, and the fulfillment of noble international duties.

Before the sacred image of President Ho Chi Minh and the heroes and martyrs, in a solemn atmosphere, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegates expressed their profound respect and boundless gratitude for the immense contributions of the previous generations, the heroes and martyrs, and all compatriots and comrades to the cause of national liberation and reunification; they pledged to uphold and promote the tradition of patriotism and national pride, working together to firmly protect the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, building a country that is increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized, and ensuring a happier and more fulfilling life for the people.
