Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh receives General Director of Rosatom Corporation (Russia)

At the reception, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to comprehensive cooperation with the Russian Federation; emphasizing that the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and space research are areas in which the two countries can cooperate.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the cooperation and support of the Russian Federation in designing and operating the Da Lat Nuclear Reactor, developing the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center, contributing to the socio -economic development of Vietnam. The Prime Minister asked Russia and Rosatom Corporation to continue supporting Vietnam in technology and training high-quality human resources, including experts, engineers and skilled workers in the field of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

Director General Alexey Likhachev expressed his pleasure to meet Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh again; at the same time, he reported to the Prime Minister on the results of cooperation between the two countries in the field of atomic energy. The Director General affirmed that with a good foundation and long-term cooperation experience, Rosatom wishes to continue promoting cooperation with Vietnam in the fields mentioned by the Prime Minister, is ready to share experiences, support training of cadres in a systematic and methodical manner for Vietnam, and promote maximum localization in this field.
