According to a special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, during his program to attend the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit and work in China, on the afternoon of November 8, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Hongyan Historical Site in Chongqing City, China.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation were introduced by tour guides to Thach Ban Street, Dai Huu Farm, grass house, and the old relic site of Nhieu Quoc Mo Revolutionary House - names associated with the activities of revolutionary predecessors such as Chairman Mao Zedong, Prime Minister Zhou Enlai, and President Ho Chi Minh.

In particular, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the relics of the working office of the Central Southern Bureau of the Communist Party of China and the Eighth Route Army in Chongqing; visited the Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall - where many artifacts about the past revolutionary activities of Communist leaders such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai of China and especially President Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam are displayed and stored.

On the second floor of the Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall, next to the former living and working rooms of Chairman Mao Zedong and Premier Zhou Enlai, is the room where President Ho Chi Minh, under the pseudonym Ho Quang, lived and carried out revolutionary activities during the period of approximately 1939-1940.

The room contained many simple items such as a single bed, a desk and chair, a bookshelf, and a few other objects. Outside the room hung a framed picture of President Ho Chi Minh and a typewriter that he used frequently.

Every object in this historic room evokes memories of the arduous times of President Ho Chi Minh's activities and the history of the Vietnamese revolution, recalling the simple lifestyle that reflected the humble character of the great President Ho Chi Minh.

Signing the golden book of memories at the relic site, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Vietnamese Government sincerely thanks the Party Committee, Government and People of Chongqing for preserving and conserving the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Room at the Hong Nam Revolutionary Memorial House.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that this precious historical relic is a vivid testament to the close friendship, "both comrades and brothers" between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China during the years of fighting for national independence of each country; he believes that the relic site will continue to contribute to educating revolutionary traditions, consolidating a solid social foundation for the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, and the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance.

The Hong Nham relic site, which includes the room where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked, is preserved, restored and conserved by China and Vietnam as a precious asset of both nations. Every year, the relic site welcomes about 1 million visitors to visit, study and research./.
