In the early morning of January 16th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, departed Hanoi to attend the 54th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland (WEF Davos 2024), and to pay official visits to Hungary and Romania.

The WEF Davos 2024 conference took place from January 15-19 with the theme "Rebuilding Trust". Vietnam was one of nine partners proposed by the WEF to jointly organize the National Strategic Dialogue with the WEF, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was one of eight leaders from various countries who had a separate dialogue session with the WEF.

Nearly 100 high-ranking leaders from countries and international organizations, and approximately 3,000 leaders from global corporations and businesses attended the conference.

Following his participation in the WEF Davos 2024 conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will pay official visits to Hungary and Romania. This marks the first exchange of delegations at the Prime Minister level between Vietnam and Hungary in seven years, and with Romania in five years.

The visits aim to further enhance political trust, strengthen and revitalize the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Hungary and Romania; promote and bring traditional areas of cooperation to a new stage; promote cooperation in potential and strong areas; and further strengthen the friendly feelings between the people of Vietnam and the people of the two countries.
