Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed a dispatch from the Prime Minister on overcoming the consequences of a particularly serious traffic accident in Quang Tri province.

Upon receiving news that a particularly serious traffic accident occurred in Tan Long market area, Lao Bao commune, Quang Tri province, caused by a truck with license plate 37C-587.63, killing 3 people and injuring 7 others, the Prime Minister sent his warmest regards to the injured and condolences to the relatives and families of the deceased victims; and at the same time directed the leaders of Quang Tri province and the police and medical forces to overcome the consequences of the accident.

The Prime Minister requested the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Tri Province to urgently chair a meeting with relevant agencies and forces to assess the cause and immediately deploy solutions to overcome existing shortcomings and inadequacies; urgently clarify the direct and indirect causes related to the traffic accident, as a basis for propaganda and implementation of preventive solutions in the coming time.

The Prime Minister assigned the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province to direct the inspection and review of compliance with legal regulations on road transport activities of transport business units for cars with license plate 37C-587.63, especially checking the safety conditions of transport business vehicles; strictly handling violations of vehicle operators and owners (if any) in accordance with regulations.

The Minister of Public Security directed the Quang Tri Provincial Police and relevant police units to urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the accident and strictly handle organizations and individuals who violated regulations, causing the above accident; pay attention to strictly handling the driver, vehicle owner or garage and related individuals in case of violation of regulations on vehicle safety conditions in the above accident.

Along with that, direct the police of units and localities to continue to maintain increased patrols and strictly control road transport activities by car; review the journey monitoring system and cameras on commercial transport vehicles, strictly handle violations in accordance with the law, especially regarding vehicle safety conditions.

The Minister of Construction directed relevant units to review and organize traffic reasonably and scientifically on expressways and national highways; enhance the safety features of traffic infrastructure systems in areas with complex traffic conditions; direct localities to review traffic safety corridors and safety conditions of passenger transport vehicles to ensure traffic order and safety.

Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and cities direct to strengthen inspection and supervision of ensuring traffic safety corridors on routes managed by localities; review routes, market areas, schools, densely populated areas along routes with high risk of traffic accidents to have measures to organize traffic, arrange infrastructure, signs, checkpoints, ensure safety for people...
