“Tourism Innovators 2025” is implemented to respond to the message “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” of World Tourism Day 2025; at the same time, it aims to affirm the role of today's students - not only as learners but also as solution proposers, shaping new trends for the Vietnamese tourism industry.
Through the competition, the Organizing Committee hopes to open up opportunities to develop practical projects, connect students with businesses, industry practices, and promote the thinking of developing green, sustainable tourism, responsible to the environment and community based on preserving traditional culture combined with innovation.

To realize this idea, “Tourism Innovators 2025” was designed with a model consisting of 3 main competitions, aiming to comprehensively evaluate the creativity, professional knowledge, presentation skills and sustainable development thinking of the participating teams.
Part 1: "Green Message" requires each team to convey messages about sustainable tourism, environmental protection, and cultural preservation through staging short stage performances (drama, dance, art performances...).
Part 2: “Travel 360 - Multiple Choice and Situations” includes multiple choice tests and practical situations related to tourism, sustainable development, culture and environment.
Part 3: "Green Project" requires teams to present highly feasible and creative project ideas on sustainable tourism, which can be tours, cultural products, environmental protection solutions using technology...

After many exciting and intense rounds, "Tourism Innovators 2025" has reaped "sweet fruits" when selecting 4 excellent teams to enter the final round.
The "Digital Relief" team built the project "Where hands keep the soul of heritage - From old wood fibers to digital drawings" based on the destination of Kim Bong carpentry village (Hoi An), offering solutions to exploit the value of carpentry, traditional culture, recreating heritage through digital technology to both preserve tradition and move towards modernization.
Meanwhile, the “Sac Cheo” Team chose Cheo - a traditional folk theater art form of Vietnam to build into a cultural tourism product, combining art enjoyment and interactive experiences, aiming to bring folk values closer to the public and tourists. The message of the project is that preserving the roots does not mean standing still, but moving forward with the times with a new rhythm.

With the project "One step in the old town - A thousand years in people's hearts", Team "Huong Trang An" conquered the judges by exploiting the natural, heritage and cultural values of the destination of Thang Long ancient town, Hanoi to create a nostalgic and unique tourist experience tour combining AR/VR technology.
Meanwhile, the "Green Crystal" Team sends a message of protecting the marine environment and natural landscape through a green tourism website integrating digital technology, encouraging tourists to protect the marine environment through interactive tasks and reward points.
It can be seen that the above projects are clear evidence of the creativity, modern thinking and community responsibility of the young generation in the tourism industry.

Taking on the role of a member of the competition's jury, Mr. Kim Young Sub, Head of the International Cooperation Department, Jeonju University (Korea) shared: Over the years, he has frequently visited many universities in Vietnam, but the opportunity to directly participate in academic activities such as "Tourism Innovators 2025" to observe the actual capacity of students is not much. Therefore, he was really surprised and impressed by the outstanding capacity of the competing teams as well as the dedication of the teachers behind them.
“The students did not just stop at introducing tourist destinations, but also researched local resources, designed practical tours, clearly identified target groups of customers and clearly demonstrated the imprint of the thinking and analysis process. I can see the effort to apply the knowledge learned in class into specific plans and products,” Mr. Kim Young Sub emphasized.

Mr. Kim Young Sub assessed that the products from the student projects do not stop at the usual tourist routes, but each has its own story, trying to connect local culture with business and service areas.
“I believe that with a team of dedicated lecturers and enthusiastic students, the ideas they are building can completely become reality. Through that, I see a bright future for Vietnam’s tourism industry,” said Mr. Kim Young Sub.
It can be seen that the imprints from “Tourism Innovators 2025” have contributed to affirming the necessity of organizing intellectual playgrounds to arouse the potential for innovation and creativity of young people; at the same time, it also proves that students in particular, and the young generation of Vietnam in general, with their love for traditional culture and ability to master modern technology, are the core force to connect the past and the future, contributing to bringing the cultural values of our ancestors into harmony with the contemporary flow, becoming the material to promote the development of tourism in a green and sustainable direction.
