Son Tay town police summoned 8 people on motorbikes to resolve the conflict, of which 2 people hit Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Ngoc Khanh and had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.
At around 9:50 p.m. on September 18, while patrolling, the police discovered a group of young men on four motorbikes speeding, carrying knives and swords, on Trung Vuong Street, Le Loi Ward, so they asked them to stop for an administrative check.
However, the group did not comply and sped away. When they reached Pham Hong Thai Street, two members of the group crashed into a motorbike driven by Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, causing him to fall onto the road and break his left arm. Immediately afterwards, the police took Senior Lieutenant Khanh to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Son Tay town police have verified and summoned 8 people related to the incident. Through investigation, the police determined that two subjects on a motorbike directly hit the motorbike driven by Senior Lieutenant Khanh.
At the police station, the subjects confessed that they had prepared weapons to fight, in order to resolve a conflict with another group of young people, but were discovered and stopped by the police.
On the morning of September 20, Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung, Director of Hanoi City Police, and leaders of functional departments visited the hospital to visit and encourage Senior Lieutenant Khanh.
