18-year-old girl's eye damaged after getting filler injection at spa

On January 16, Tan Phu District Police ( Dong Nai ) continued to investigate a filler injection accident that occurred at a spa in Phu Xuan Commune, Tan Phu District, Dong Nai.

According to information from Tan Phu District Police, on the evening of January 8, Ms. NHT (18 years old, residing in Phu Lam Commune, Tan Phu District, Dong Nai) went to Yuri Beauty Center Spa (Phu Xuan Commune, Tan Phu District) to get filler injections on her lips, chin, and nose.

Here, Ms. NHT had filler injected into her chin, lips, and nose by an employee of NHHT (23 years old, living in Tan Phu district). After the filler injection, Ms. NHT had a headache, dizziness, and vomiting.

At this time, NHHT staff arbitrarily gave Ms. NHT medicine to take. At around 10:00 p.m. the same day, Ms. NHT was taken to Cho Ray Hospital by her family for emergency treatment and was diagnosed with loss of vision in her left eye.

After the incident, Tan Phu District Police inspected and verified that Yuri Beauty Center Spa was licensed to operate a business in the hair cutting and shampooing industry. The business owner is Nguyen Thi Huong (25 years old, living in Lam Dong ).

The police also determined that the staff who injected filler into Ms. NHT did not have a certificate or practice license, and the source of the injected solution was unknown.

The case is currently under investigation by Tan Phu District Police.
