In compiling and publishing the book "Heroes and Soldiers of Dien Bien Phu," the Steering Committee for compiling the book proactively coordinated closely with provinces and cities nationwide to collect and correct data and lists of soldiers and troops directly participating in the campaign, as well as data on volunteer youth and civilian workers on the front lines. Based on a close combination of editing, citing, summarizing the biographies and portraits of the heroes and soldiers of Dien Bien Phu, and scanning QR codes to help provinces and cities nationwide look up lists of honored soldiers, volunteer youth, civilian workers, and volunteer police officers, the Steering Committee seriously considered the contributions of readers and provincial leaders, correcting and supplementing data and documents about the heroic martyrs, ensuring objectivity and accuracy before publication.
As a result, the Steering Committee, the Editorial Team, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and the National Political Publishing House organized the printing and publication of 2,500 copies. The Provincial Veterans Association received the books at the end of April 2024 and presented 1,000 copies to delegates attending the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, while the remainder were distributed to the Department of Education and Training, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, and veterans associations in 63 provinces and cities. After the book was published, it received many comments and thanks from veterans and provincial and city leaders nationwide. The total cost of publishing the book was 850 million VND, funded through social contributions and the provincial budget.

During the meeting, members of the Steering Committee for compiling the book focused on discussing the advantages and difficulties in the research and data collection process, the outline structure, the number of pages, the format, and the presentation methods to minimize errors when the book is published. They also requested that the permanent agency be assigned the task of receiving feedback and suggestions on the book to supplement and correct any errors in the data.

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mua A Son, Head of the Steering Committee for compiling the book "Heroes and Soldiers in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign," acknowledged the efforts and smooth coordination of the units involved in the book's production. He affirmed that, despite the large volume of work, extensive content, and wide scope, the book was published on time, ensuring both progress and quality, within a short period. This is an extremely valuable document, affirming the important contributions and great merits of the heroes and soldiers, and the national unity in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also agreed with the opinions of the delegates and proposed the establishment of a website for the book, assigning the Provincial Veterans Association as the permanent body to monitor, receive, and synthesize feedback on the book "Heroes and Soldiers of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign" for revision and future reprinting. Regarding funding, the Department of Finance will proactively settle and disburse the expenses for publishing the book.
