Found the body of a boy who drowned while washing his feet at the riverbank.

On the afternoon of March 24, news from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Vinh Long Provincial Police said that the unit's forces found the body of a boy who drowned in Thoi Hoa commune, Tra On district, Vinh Long.

At about 11:45 a.m. the same day, people in Ninh Thuan hamlet, Thoi Hoa commune, Tra On district saw a boy named VTT (12 years old, living locally) go bird hunting with a group of friends. Afterwards, T. went to the riverbank to wash his feet and unfortunately slipped and fell into the river. People around organized a dive to search but could not find him so they called the authorities for help.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Vinh Long Provincial Police dispatched two specialized vehicles and 15 officers and soldiers to the scene to search for the missing person. After about 15 minutes of searching, T.'s body was found about 50 meters from the scene.

Authorities have handed over T.'s body to his family for burial and are investigating the cause of the drowning.
