Business development and investment attraction situation in April 2025

Since the beginning of the year, 230 new enterprises have been established with a capital of VND 1,283.7 billion, an increase of 35.3% over the same period in 2024; the average registered capital is VND 5.6 billion/enterprise (in the same period, there were 170 newly established enterprises, with a total registered capital of VND 1,012.7 billion, an average of VND 6.0 billion/enterprise), 22 enterprises voluntarily dissolved and 165 enterprises temporarily suspended business; 29 branches, representative offices, and business locations ceased operations. Currently, the total number of enterprises in the province is 5,556 (excluding dissolved and revoked enterprises), with a total registered capital of VND 421,845.4 billion. The rate of submitting business registration dossiers online (via the internet) reached 100% of the total number of arising dossiers.

Regarding investment attraction: during the month, 1 new investment project was attracted with a registered capital of VND 26.3 billion; 3 investment projects were terminated or revoked; cumulatively from the beginning of the year, 7 new investment projects were attracted with a registered capital of VND 324.1 billion, and 3 investment projects were terminated or revoked; in the same period of 2024, there were 7 new investment projects with a total registered capital of VND 2,120.6 billion. To date, there are 466 active investment projects in the province, with a total registered capital of VND 147,395.4 billion (including 11 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of USD 171.5 million).

State management of the collective economy in the province is increasingly receiving attention and being implemented effectively, contributing to improving the quality of operations of cooperatives and cooperative groups. The role of the collective economy continues to be clearly demonstrated, maintaining and promoting production linkages between farmers and businesses by acting as a bridge to sign product consumption contracts and stabilize output. During the month, 2 new cooperatives were established, bringing the cumulative total from the beginning of the year to 7 new cooperatives. The province currently has 341 cooperatives with a total of 8,540 members (248 are active, 93 are temporarily inactive); 2 cooperative unions and 976 cooperative groups. Continuing the implementation of the "One Commune, One Product" (OCOP) program, the cumulative number of recognized products to date is 185 products/91 entities (of which, 47 products/21 entities achieved 4 stars, and 138 products/83 entities achieved 3 stars).

In recent times, Ca Mau province has continued to promote the "One Commune, One Product" (OCOP) program. To date, the province has 185 OCOP products from 91 entities (including 47 products from 21 entities achieving 4 stars and 135 products from 80 entities achieving 3 stars). OCOP entities are gradually focusing on improving product quality, developing diverse designs, and strengthening product promotion on e-commerce platforms, resulting in good results and increased income.
