Ninh Binh province proposes to add 1,111 more teachers

It is expected that in the 2024-2025 school year, Ninh Binh province will increase 138 classrooms, while the total number of civil servants and contract workers in the education sector in Ninh Binh, as of May 31, 2024, is 14,038 people and is currently short of 2,599 people, including 1,111 teachers.

To overcome the difficulty of teacher shortage, Ninh Binh province has been implementing a number of solutions such as, localities create conditions for educational institutions that do not have enough staff to implement teaching contracts to ensure school operations. In case there are no contract teachers, the Department of Education and Training of districts and cities will arrange teachers to teach inter-school in nearby areas, suitable to the actual situation of the team, ensuring that there are teachers to teach all subjects according to regulations.

The People's Committee of Ninh Binh province has sent a document requesting the Ministry of Home Affairs to report to competent authorities to supplement Ninh Binh province with 1,111 more teacher positions than the prescribed quota, of which 561 positions are for preschool, 468 positions are for primary school, 28 positions are for middle school and 54 positions are for high school.

At the same time, review and rearrange public service units. Accordingly, small-scale schools will be gradually merged appropriately to reduce management staff and employees, increase direct teaching positions, facilitate the arrangement of teachers according to subject structure to limit local teacher shortages in schools.
