On November 12th, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council, including delegates Mai Xuan Binh, Provincial Party Committee member and Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee; and Nguyen Tien Dung, Secretary of the Nhu Thanh District Party Committee, held a meeting with voters in Nhu Thanh district prior to the 23rd session of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, representatives of the Provincial People's Council delegation informed voters in Nhu Thanh district about the expected content and program of the 23rd session of the 18th Provincial People's Council; reported on the socio -economic, national defense and security situation of the province in the first 10 months of 2024, the estimated performance for 2024, and the tasks and solutions for implementing key tasks in 2025; and reported on the results of resolving the petitions of voters in Nhu Thanh district submitted to the 20th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council.
Voters in Xuan Du commune raised several issues at the meeting.
Voters in Nhu Thanh district expressed joy and excitement at the results achieved by the province in the first 10 months of 2024. In a democratic and frank atmosphere, voters in Nhu Thanh district submitted suggestions and feedback to the Provincial People's Council delegation on issues of concern to the people.
Accordingly, voters in Xuan Du commune requested consideration of a mechanism to address the blockage of water flow caused by the unfinished construction of bridges and culverts across the road connecting Thanh Hoa to Tho Xuan Airport, specifically the section from No Hen bridge to provincial road 514 passing through Xuan Du commune; this has resulted in prolonged flooding affecting approximately 30 households in Hamlet 13 and about 20 households in Hamlet 10 of Xuan Du commune, Nhu Thanh district.

Voters in Can Khe commune proposed a mechanism to support part-time officials at the village and neighborhood levels who resign (according to Resolution No. 31/NQ-HĐND dated July 10, 2024, of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council on regulating the number, titles, and policies for part-time officials at the commune, village, and neighborhood levels in Thanh Hoa province). They also proposed a mechanism to stimulate demand in localities for expanding and concreting rural roads after mobilizing people to donate land, as per Directive 24-CT/TU dated July 12, 2024, of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on the campaign to encourage people to donate land for investment in the renovation, upgrading, and beautification of infrastructure, focusing on roads in rural and urban areas of the province, towards a synchronized and modern approach.
Representative Nguyen Tien Dung, Secretary of the Nhu Thanh District Party Committee, received feedback from voters.
Voters also suggested considering a special mechanism to ensure the rights and stable livelihoods of households that had handed over their land before any changes in state policies. They also proposed establishing a district-level land development center to reduce the workload of the district-level Department of Natural Resources and Environment in directly participating in land acquisition and resettlement councils for projects.
After receiving feedback, suggestions, and complaints from voters, representatives of the Nhu Thanh district leadership explained and clarified a number of issues within their authority.
