Hoang Dung has revealed details about his music video "La Ban" (Compass) through a teaser featuring seven special clips. From the first to the seventh clip, the colors are used to hint at the sins, each associated with a different theme: laziness (blue), lust (pink), anger (red), gluttony (orange), envy (green), pride (purple), and greed (yellow). These details suggest a music video with a promising storyline and message the singer wants to convey in this new phase of his music career .

Hoang Dung shared that the inspiration for the song "Compass" came after he completed the "Yen" project: “The song 'Compass' stemmed from a feeling of suffocation and despair within me, and at that time, writing music made me feel better. I had gone through a period of self-questioning, questioning myself, the things around me, the future, what I should do, and what everyone else was doing. When I wrote 'Compass,' I felt like everything was against me – negative thoughts swirled in my head, and there wasn't a single ray of light around me. After the 'Yen' EP project, I felt I didn't want to write love songs anymore; there was too much pent-up energy inside me that I hadn't released. I thought I would 'go crazy' if I continued writing love songs.”

Explaining his reluctance to write love songs, Hoang Dung confided: "I don't know if it's because my love life is going well. I don't like the idea of writing a sad song when I'm happy in love. Since I decided to make music, while serving the audience is a given, I also want to incorporate my own personal feelings and inner world into my music. Writing love songs probably no longer gives me the satisfaction to explore new limits. I don't want to pretend to be sad just to keep writing love songs. I feel I have other, more interesting experiences besides love to write music."

Completing the song "Compass" greatly helped the singer during a stressful period in his life: "Reinventing myself is something I will have to conquer sooner or later. The desire and urge to reinvent myself were enough for me to go ahead with this project. When I finished 'Compass,' I felt much lighter, like I had passed a test. There are moments in life when you feel a lot of pressure, worry, and think about it a lot, but once you've finished it, you realize that overcoming it, confronting it, is always more important than the result it brings."

Despite choosing to reinvent himself in his upcoming release, Hoang Dung said he still cares about the feelings and anticipation of his fans after two years: “I am still aware that I should guide my audience gradually on the journey of musical innovation. I am also a listener and a connoisseur of musical products, and I myself cannot tolerate overly sharp turns or stark contrasts in two consecutive releases from the same artist. The song 'La Ban' (Compass) is like a signal for everyone to see that Hoang Dung is changing, and the entire project will clearly reflect how I am changing. For my first product after two years, I want to give everyone a certain impression, so that their wait is worthwhile.”
