US President and British Prime Minister sign historic technology agreement

The leaders of the two countries officially signed a technology partnership agreement to enhance cooperation in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing and nuclear energy.

According to AFP and Telegraph, on September 18, US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer officially signed a technology partnership agreement to strengthen cooperation in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing and nuclear energy.

Speaking at Chequers House during Mr Trump's state visit to Britain, Prime Minister Starmer declared: "This is the biggest investment package in British history," calling the deal "groundbreaking."

Mr Trump's visit brought commitments from several major US technology and financial groups totalling £150 billion ($205 billion) in investment in the UK over the coming years.

Speaking about the new tech prosperity deal, President Trump affirmed: “With this agreement, our precious friendship with the United Kingdom is even stronger. Once again, I want to thank the Prime Minister. He has worked very hard to achieve this agreement.”

Mr. Trump said this was an agreement “prepared for a long time” and affirmed that it was a “real honor” to sit next to Mr. Keir./.
