According to statistical data from BestPrice Travel, the demand for booking snow tours increased by about 20-25% compared to the same period. At Vietluxtour, "white snow winter" tours are also the best-selling products in the last month of the year and New Year 2026.
Many of this company's snow tours departing to China in December are fully booked.
Tours to Korea and Japan still attract tourists
Northeast Asian markets such as Korea and Japan continue to be the top choices of Vietnamese tourists. Tour costs for Korea start from 16 million VND, and for Japan from 25 million VND for a 5-6 day trip.
Mr. Bui Thanh Tu, Marketing Director of BestPrice Travel, said that in Japan, the Tokyo - Yamanashi - Nagano or Nagoya - Takayama - Shirakawago routes, where visitors can watch snow and bathe in onsen, are the most popular.
The highlight of the tour is the ancient village of Shirakawago. The village lies at the foot of Mount Hakusan in central Japan and was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. In winter, the ancient houses here are covered with white snow. At peak times, the snow can be 1-2 meters thick, creating a beautiful fairy-tale countryside scene.

Meanwhile, although Korean tours are familiar, they are still popular with Vietnamese tourists thanks to stable snowfall, many high-quality ski resorts and professional services, according to Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu, Marketing and Communications Director of Vietluxtour.
Diverse China snow viewing tours, from only 6.5 million VND
Vietnamese companies have recorded a strong growth in the number of customers booking winter tours to see snow in China.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong, General Director of Trang An Travel, said that Chinese snow-viewing and skiing tour products such as Kieu Tu Son (Yunnan), Gia Co Son (in the journey to Cuu Trai Cau - Thanh Do), and Harbin, are attracting Vietnamese tourists because of their affordable costs and many options.
With about 6.5 million VND, tourists can book a 5-day, 4-night road tour following the route of Hekou - Shilin - Kunming - Qiaozi Mountain - Mengzi. From October to March, the weather in Qiaozi Mountain is very cold, with a high possibility of snow.
Jiaozi Mountain is about 155km from Kunming City, the main peak is 4,247m high - the highest in the central area of Yunnan Province. If the weather is favorable, visitors can see snow on the treetops from an altitude of 3,500m. From an altitude of about 3,850m, snow begins to fall quite heavily.
With a cost of about 16 million VND, visitors can refer to the flight tour to Jiuzhaigou - Chengdu, 6 days 5 nights. On this journey, in addition to visiting the Panda Park and Jiuzhaigou, you can go to the ski resort with the "longest ski season", lasting from the end of October to March next year.
Jiagushan Ski Resort is also known as the "closest to the sky" ski resort in Sichuan. The snow depth is up to more than 80cm, ideal for skiing.
At a cost of about 30 million VND, the winter tour to Harbin is the most "sold out" this year. Ms. Luu Thi Thu, Deputy Director of Hoang Viet Travel, said that this unit opens Harbin tours with high frequency to meet customer demand.
Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province (China), has an average annual temperature of 4.25 degrees Celsius and the lowest temperature can be -42.6 degrees Celsius. This city is known as the "Ice City", famous for its developed winter tourism industry and annual ice festival - one of the largest and oldest ice and snow festivals in the world.

On this trip, Vietnamese tourists will explore Yabuli - China's largest ski resort; Bingxue Big World - the world's largest ice and snow art exhibition and the main venue of the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival. The highlight of the tour is Xuexiang Village, with its fairy-tale-like houses covered in white snow.
When night falls, this place becomes even more magical when lit by red and green lanterns, bringing the typical atmosphere of the year-end festival and the culture of people living in the Northeast region of China.

At Vietluxtour, the "new" tour products of Xinjiang in the snow season or Shanghai - Wuzhen in the winter are also popular. These tours departing in December are all fully booked.
"Vietnamese tourists tend to prioritize moderate itineraries, destinations that are popular on social media but not too crowded," said Ms. Bao Thu.
This year, travel companies also recorded the interest of Vietnamese tourists in destinations with vibrant Christmas festivals in Europe (Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, France...) and watching the aurora borealis in Northern Europe.
