Ho Chi Minh City hosts the World Intelligent Community Forum 2025

Hundreds of investors and experts from many developed cities around the world attended the Smart Community Forum Global Summit hosted by Ho Chi Minh City.

On December 2, at the Convention and Exhibition Center, Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the Smart Community Forum 2025 Global Summit took place, chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

The Smart Community Forum 2025 Global Summit will take place on December 2 and 3 with the participation of hundreds of guests, experts, and investors from the country and from developed cities around the world .

On the first working day, representatives of major cities from Brazil, Türkiye, Canada, the US, Spain and Vietnam presented good models for developing smart communities.

In particular, opinions agree that smart communities need to be based on the development of knowledge, science and technology, innovation, etc.

Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology Vo Minh Thanh said that Ho Chi Minh City hosting the World Intelligent Community Forum 2025 is a milestone of special significance, demonstrating the strong belief of the international community in the city's urban development strategy.

Ho Chi Minh City has a strategy of taking knowledge, science, technology and innovation as pillars and driving forces for a new growth model in the coming period.

Mr. Thanh believes that in the context of a fast-moving world, cities that know how to accelerate with knowledge and technology, connect communities and proactively innovate, will be the cities that lead the future.

Vietnam's current vision is to build an economy based on knowledge, science, technology and innovation, and as an economic locomotive, Ho Chi Minh City makes an important contribution to that process.

Ho Chi Minh City after the merger continues the achievements that Binh Duong has built in more than a decade of accompanying the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF).

Especially in terms of business support, digital infrastructure development, innovation space and integrated development model, it is an important foundation for Ho Chi Minh City to continue to grow strongly, creating new breakthroughs in the process of transforming the growth model.

Discussion on the development potential of Ho Chi Minh City after the merger

In the plenary session (second working day, December 3) , delegates will listen to and discuss practical topics such as: Strengths and strategies of Ho Chi Minh City after the merger;

Administrative and structural changes in Vietnam in 2025: challenges and potential for future development of Ho Chi Minh City's network economy... Contents on "from smart to ready to attract investment", speeches by leaders of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee...

The Smart Community Forum 2025 was held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City after the merger. Previously, Binh Duong province (now Ho Chi Minh City) hosted the forum and was honored many times by the international community.

Of which, it has been honored 5 consecutive times as one of the 21 communities with typical Smart City Development Strategies in the world (Smart 21) and entered the top 7 list in 2021, 2022; top 1 in 2023.
