Ho Chi Minh City organizes a design competition for the Binh Thai intersection under the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 2 project.
The competition aims to find the optimal landscape architectural design ideas that are suitable for the planning, highly feasible, unique, modern, distinctive and create an impressive highlight for the surrounding landscape without affecting the existing important technical infrastructure works within the intersection.
This competition does not limit the number of participating organizations. Units and consulting organizations that register to participate will be reviewed, evaluated for their capacity and invited to participate in the design product implementation round. The competition council will evaluate, rank, select the most optimal idea, report to the investor to submit to the City People's Committee for approval and announce the results, and award prizes according to regulations.
The exam will be held within 75 days after the City People's Committee approves the exam plan.
The contest has a total prize value of 300 million VND, including one first prize worth 150 million VND; one second prize worth 100 million VND; one third prize worth 50 million VND.

In particular, the Ring Road 2 section in Thu Duc City has been deployed, units are focusing on compensation and site clearance, striving to start construction in the second quarter of 2025.
The section of Belt Road 2 in Binh Chanh district has been studied and submitted to the Department of Planning and Investment for task adjustment and capital balance; if all goes well, the investment policy will be submitted in the upcoming meeting.
It is expected that by 2026, Beltway 2 will be basically closed.
