On the afternoon of December 6th, Thanh Hoa City held a meeting with Catholic dignitaries to celebrate Christmas 2024 and welcome the New Year 2025. Attending the meeting were Comrade Le Anh Xuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People's Council of Thanh Hoa; representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Police Department, the Department of Internal Affairs, and the Provincial Religious Affairs Committee; leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa City; and leaders of Dong Son District.
Comrade Le Anh Xuan, Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa City, along with other city and Dong Son district leaders, presented flowers to congratulate Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong, the priests, and parish leaders.
Representing the Thanh Hoa Diocese were Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong, Chairman of the Justice and Peace Committee of the Vietnam Bishops' Conference, and Bishop of the Thanh Hoa Diocese; priests from the Thanh Hoa Bishopric; priests and parish leaders from the Cathedral, Dai Tien, Ngoc Tranh, and Dai Thao parishes; and the Superior and Deputy Superior General of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross of Thanh Hoa.

Expressing delight at the outstanding achievements and results that Thanh Hoa City has attained in 2024, the Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Council, Le Anh Xuan, affirmed: The results achieved by Thanh Hoa City are thanks to the efforts, unity, and high determination of the Party Committee, the government, and all strata of the city's people, including the important contributions of the city's Catholic community, the clergy and officials of the Bishopric, the parishes, and especially the sharing and support of Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong.

Catholics in Thanh Hoa city in particular, and Thanh Hoa province in general, are always proud to be patriotic and God-fearing citizens. Building on these fine values and traditions, the Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Council, Le Anh Xuan, hopes that Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong, along with priests, religious leaders, and Catholic compatriots in the city, will continue to be united and work together with the Party Committee, government, and all sectors of the city's population to successfully achieve the goals and tasks for 2025 and the following years, contributing to building a more civilized, prosperous, and livable city, and together with the province and the country, "entering a new era - the era of national progress."

On behalf of Catholic dignitaries, Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong, Chairman of the Justice and Peace Committee of the Vietnam Bishops' Conference and Bishop of the Thanh Hoa Diocese, expressed his joy at the outstanding achievements of Thanh Hoa City in recent times and thanked the Party Committee and the government of Thanh Hoa City for their attention to the activities of the Thanh Hoa Diocese. Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong emphasized that the Thanh Hoa Diocese will continue to encourage and guide its parishioners to uphold the tradition of patriotism, live "good lives and beautiful faith," and contribute to the further development of Thanh Hoa City.
