Ho Chi Minh City opens Kid Fest 2023

On the evening of June 2, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council, and the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House held the opening ceremony of the 2023 Children's Festival (Kid Fest 2023) with the message "Children today - World tomorrow".

This is the first time Ho Chi Minh City has organized a Children's Festival with the hope of bringing a joyful, rewarding, healthy and meaningful start to the summer for children in 22 districts and Thu Duc City.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneer Council Trinh Thi Hien Tran said that due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, in recent years, children's summer activities have not been fully organized.

Therefore, the 2023 Children's Festival hopes to create a useful playground, creating conditions for children to learn and gain knowledge of science and technology, enjoy art products, cuisine, cultural exchanges, etc. Thereby, we hope to convey to children the message of love, solidarity, sharing and good values ​​in life.

The 2023 Children's Festival takes place from June 2 to 4 at the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House with 7 experience spaces for children. These are: digital technology I love science , music exchange Colors of childhood , sports training I am happy and healthy, hello summer , family fun, reading books with me, children's booths, culinary culture .

Specifically, on June 2, the festival with the theme “Children’s World” will have special activities such as a summer camp in the heart of the city “For children to grow up”; the 18th Ho Chi Minh City Youth and Children’s Creativity Contest; Mosaic painting, pottery and pottery decoration workshops; and film screenings for children.

On June 3, the festival with the theme "Family fun" includes the 2023 expanded sports dance festival of Ho Chi Minh City Children's Houses; the "I love Vietnamese letters" festival; the workshop "Be friends with your children - Green actions for a green environment"; a playground for the whole family to have fun; exchange, introduce and promote various types of music; workshops on making mosaic paintings, making pottery and decorating pottery; performances by the families of circus artists Quoc Nghiep, Ngoc Mai, Hung Tam; performances by gifted classes of Ho Chi Minh City Children's House.

On June 4, the festival with the theme "Happy and healthy children welcome summer" includes Rubik Cube competition programs; "Dau Dau Thanh Kim Cuong" chess playground; exchanges between modern dance groups, hip hop dance "You and I"; Mosaic painting making, pottery making and pottery decoration workshops; summary, commendation and award ceremony of the 26th City-level Excellent Team Commander Competition - 2023; final and award ceremony of the 2023 Drum and Trumpet Festival, closing program.

Along with the entertainment activities, the Organizing Committee also focuses on carrying out activities to take care of the material and spiritual needs of children in difficult circumstances, children with disabilities, and children affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.
