Tran Thi Thuy Trang and Vietnamese women's futsal team attend SEA Games 33

(NLDO) - On December 9, Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang announced the list of 14 Vietnamese female futsal players participating in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.

The squad consists of 2 goalkeepers Tran Thi Hai Yen, Ngo Nguyen Thuy Linh and 12 players, of which the core force comes from Thai Son Nam Club in Ho Chi Minh City with 8 faces. The remaining players are from Thong Nhat Training Center (2 players), Than KSVN (1) and Hanoi Training Center (1).

In particular, Tran Thi Thuy Trang, who has retired from the 11-a-side football field, will continue to participate in SEA Games 33 with the Vietnamese women's futsal team.

According to coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang, the team has been thoroughly prepared with training sessions at home and abroad, along with four quality friendly matches, helping to strengthen their playing style and tactical adaptability. "The whole team has completed important pieces, is in good spirits and is ready to take the field with the highest determination," he emphasized.

Assessing the opponents, the coach said that Indonesia is a big obstacle as they have made great progress in recent times, possessing a diverse playing style, high intensity and superior physical strength, having made an impression at the recent Asian tournament. Myanmar also has many changes in coaching staff and personnel, so the upcoming matches will be very difficult.

The Vietnamese women's futsal team set a step-by-step goal: get past the group stage and then consider competing for medals.

According to plan, the team will leave for Thailand on the morning of December 10. The opening match will be on December 12 against Indonesia, before facing Myanmar in the final round of the group on December 14.
