(CLO) On November 26, in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee of the Writing Contest on Vietnam Heritage Trees - 2024 announced the results and awarded prizes with the participation of many scientists , guests, and award-winning authors.
The writing contest on Vietnam's heritage trees - 2024 is hosted by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment, organized by the Nature and Environment Electronic Magazine from March 2024 to the end of September 2024.
This is a meaningful contest to promote propaganda and education work, mobilize the community to raise awareness and consciousness of protecting natural landscapes, biodiversity, and protecting the environment in the context of climate change; contributing to the conservation of precious genetic species, preserving and promoting the value of biodiversity.

The Organizing Committee received more than 400 entries from many authors and groups of authors from all regions. The quality of the entries was highly appreciated. Many of them highlighted the development process as well as the importance of heritage trees associated with the daily life and work of indigenous people, contributing to promoting awareness of preserving and protecting natural landscapes, conserving biodiversity in particular, and protecting the environment in general.
In the summary report, the Organizing Committee said that the highlight of the contest was the participation of authors from all over the country. Among them, there were more than 50 works whose authors were reporters and journalists from central and local press agencies. Among hundreds of entries to the contest, through many qualifying rounds, the Jury has selected 25 most suitable and best entries to announce and award prizes according to the structure, including: 3 A prizes; 7 B prizes and 15 C prizes. In addition to the winning certificates, the authors receive cash prizes, specifically: three A prizes each worth 10 million VND; seven B prizes each worth 5 million VND and 15 C prizes each worth 2 million VND.
