Awarding more than 10,000 scholarships to children of navy soldiers and fishermen

On August 2, the Club "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" and Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund celebrated their 11th anniversary.

The "For Our Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club was established on August 1, 2014, chaired by former Vice President and Chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Truong My Hoa. After 11 years of operation, the Club has raised nearly 100 billion VND, contributing to the implementation of many activities related to the sea and islands; and awarded more than 10,000 scholarships to children of naval soldiers and poor fishermen.

Notably, the club selects hundreds of students from disadvantaged families, including children of naval officers and soldiers, and fishermen, and brings them to Ho Chi Minh City to study from grade 6 to grade 12…

Every year, club members visit, give gifts to, and encourage the families of officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives at Gac Ma Island and the DK1 platform; they also build dozens of houses of gratitude and houses for comrades to donate to naval soldiers.

According to Truong My Hoa, the club's leader, in 2025, the club carried out many practical and meaningful activities to spread love for the sea and islands, care for the families of soldiers, and connect those with hearts devoted to the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.

The club gained one more corporate member, bringing the total to 180 organizations, spread both domestically and internationally; it also admitted 148 new individual members, raising the total number of members to 5,350.

Entering its 12th year of operation, the "For Our Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club continues to aim for improved quality and effectiveness of its activities, focusing on the sea and islands through concrete, practical, and compassionate actions.
