Hands-on with Samsung's tri-fold phone

Although not yet an official commercial product, famous technology YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss had the opportunity to get his hands on and review the Galaxy Z TriFold in detail.

The Galaxy Z TriFold arrives in a box that's much larger than your typical flagship. Notably, Samsung has included a 45W fast charger - a surprising move considering the company has ditched this accessory to protect the environment. The Z TriFold weighs quite a bit at 309g, nearly 50% heavier than the Z Fold7 (215g). The device has a 6.5-inch outer screen similar to the Fold7, but the thickness is significantly increased due to the 3-layer structure. With two folding hinges, the Z TriFold has to deal with two display creases on the large screen. This is an inevitable trade-off for getting 10 inches of space. To meet the power needs of the large 10-inch screen, Samsung has upgraded the Z TriFold's battery capacity to 5,600 mAh, significantly higher than the 4,400 mAh on the Galaxy Z Fold. Technically, this battery is divided into three separate units, evenly distributed across three layers of the body to maintain a slim design when opened.
