- From October 25 to 27, the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion organized a working group to implement a community project (building a Net Zero Tourism Village) in Lan Nong residential area, Cai Kinh commune.

The delegation included representatives of businesses, tourism and service businesses inside and outside the province, and consulting experts.
Net Zero Lan Nong tourist village has 13 households with two ethnic groups Tay and Nung. The village has a green, clean space with natural fences, a trail to the fields ideal for cycling. Visitors can experience trekking through the custard apple mountain slopes, admire the spectacular landscape valley, twin mountains and visit the "pale fossil cemetery". Typical agricultural products are peanuts, corn and the famous dish is yellow chicken.
During the program, the delegation surveyed caves and some potential tourist destinations, combining experiential activities such as cycling to the bamboo forest, wearing ethnic costumes, visiting and listening to village elders tell stories, experiencing farming, etc. The delegation also produced a promotional video clip, exchanged work and donated artifacts to form a pilot homestay for the Lan Nong residential area.

In addition, the people in Lan Nong village were guided by members of the delegation on techniques to design, create and complete handicraft products from locally available materials; how to combine indigenous cultural elements in decorating stilt houses; how to create unique souvenir products bearing the mark of Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark.
On this occasion, the delegation met to assess the potential and propose solutions to build and develop the Net Zero Lan Nong Tourist Village and a number of model villages in the UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark area. The content focused on the topic "Decorating the stilt house space with available materials and setting up 20 sets of blankets, sheets, pillows, mattresses, and brocade curtains in the two cleanest stilt houses". The meeting also discussed the plan to organize the 2025 Winter Geopark International Festival, the idea of forming model villages in the UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark area and communication work to promote the geopark in the coming time. The delegation also presented 20 sets of brocade blankets, sheets, pillows, and mattresses to the people, supporting them in decorating homestays to welcome guests. Notably, today, each house has been installed with a QR code, providing detailed information about the village to visitors.
These activities aim to promote the construction, formation and promotion of the first Net Zero Tourism Village in the Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark, opening a sustainable tourism model, promising to turn Lan Nong into a unique destination, contributing to improving people's lives and affirming the local tourism brand.
