On the morning of October 27, the People's Committee of Thuong Duc Commune, Da Nang City, said that heavy rain caused the water levels of Vu Gia and Con rivers to rise. Many villages in the commune are submerged in water, isolating 2,120 households with about 4,300 people. Authorities help people in flood-prone areas raise their belongings to avoid property damage as floodwaters continue to rise. Also this morning, floodwaters from the Vu Gia River rose, causing deep flooding in the Ai Nghia market area (Dai Loc commune). Many people driving motorbikes to the flooded section had to turn around. According to Dai Loc Commune Police, due to the impact of heavy rain and hydroelectric dams releasing floodwaters, there are currently 7 deep and dangerous flooding spots in the commune. Commune police have deployed forces to block off, set up barriers, warning signs, and reflective tape. Many concrete roads in villages in the commune were flooded and isolated. Many residential areas in the center of Dai Loc commune were flooded 40-50cm deep. The road leading to the residential area was submerged in water, making travel very difficult. Faced with the situation of deeply flooded residential areas, many people proactively brought their cars to Ai Nghia bridge to ensure safety.
