According to long-time durian growers, although prices are better than last year, this year's hot and dry weather has greatly affected output.

Estimated durian output in Lang Lon commune, Chau Duc district (Ba Ria-Vung Tau province) decreased by 20-30% compared to the same period last year, especially in some gardens, the yield decreased by 40-50% due to severe heat shock.

Although affected by hot and dry weather for many months, productivity and output decreased, many durian gardens in Lang Lon commune still have fruit, and durian prices are higher than in 2023.

Through a survey of durian growers, farmers are very excited about the price this year. It is expected that this year, the entire Lang Lon commune, Chau Duc district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province will sell about 200 tons of durian of all kinds to the market.
