The first university will not directly admit science and technology prizes from 2026

In 2026, the University of Technology will enroll 20 training majors with 4,020 targets, remaining stable compared to the previous year. Most majors use three admission combinations A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English) and X06 (Math, Physics, IT); in which the two majors Biotechnology and Agricultural Technology add the combination A02 (Math, Physics, Biology).

The school has 3 stable admission methods: High school graduation exam results 2026 with groups A00, A01, X06, A02; HSA test results organized by Hanoi National University; SAT international competency assessment certificate.

Thus, the new point in the 2026 regular university entrance exam of the University of Technology is to reduce the admission combination (only 3 combinations with technology majors and 4 combinations with 2 majors: Biotechnology and Agricultural Technology).

Regarding direct admission, in 2026, the University of Technology has a notable new point. The school follows the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training but does not consider candidates who have won national and international Science and Technology awards, focusing on direct admission of students who have won prizes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Information Technology to all majors and adding Biology to the two majors of Biotechnology and Agricultural Technology.

Reducing the combination and not using academic records demonstrates the school’s commitment to fairness, objectivity and real quality.”

According to the School's orientation, admission is not only to select good students, but also to select suitable people - young people who have the desire to conquer knowledge, love technology and are ready to create new values for society.

In 2025, more than 60% of candidates will be admitted based on the results of the high school graduation exam, of which 94% will use the combinations A00, A01, X06. On a 30-point scale, 24 points or more account for 95%; 25 points or more account for 90%; 26 points or more account for 82%; 27 points or more account for 61%.
