Can Tho University donated 500 million VND to support the people in the North who suffered damage from storms No. 10 and No. 11.

(CTO) - On the afternoon of October 24, 2025, Can Tho University (DNC) organized the donation and receipt of money to support the Northern people affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11. Representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City attended and received the money.

DNC leaders presented money to support northerners affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11.

Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of DNC, stated: "Natural disasters have taken away many assets, even lives, but they cannot take away the spirit of solidarity, compassion, and humanity of the Vietnamese people. Understanding these losses, the entire staff, lecturers, employees, and students of DNC have joined hands to donate 500 million VND. This is a sincere act of sharing from the staff, lecturers, and students of the university to the North, demonstrating the spirit of 'mutual support' and 'helping those in need' of the DNC community towards our compatriots in the North who are suffering heavy losses from typhoons No. 10 and No. 11."

DNC students took a commemorative photo with representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City and the school's leadership at the event.

DNC Board of Directors also respectfully thanks the staff, lecturers, employees and students for actively responding to the call to support people in disaster areas.

A representative of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City received the above amount of money and said that it will promptly allocate and support localities and people in the North affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11.
