Can Tho University donated 500 million VND to support the people in the North who suffered damage from storms No. 10 and No. 11.

(CTO) - On the afternoon of October 24, 2025, Can Tho University (DNC) organized the donation and receipt of money to support the Northern people affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11. Representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City attended and received the money.

DNC leaders presented money to support northerners affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11.

Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Principal of DNC, said: Natural disasters have taken away many properties, even the lives of people, but cannot take away the spirit of solidarity, affection and humanity of the Vietnamese people. Understanding those losses, the collective of cadres, lecturers, employees and students of DNC joined hands to donate and support 500 million VND. This is the sincere sharing of cadres, lecturers and students of the school sent to the North, showing the spirit of "mutual love", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" of the collective of DNC towards the people of the North who are struggling to bear the heavy losses caused by storms No. 10 and No. 11.

DNC students took souvenir photos with representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City and school leaders on the occasion.

DNC Board of Directors also respectfully thanks the staff, lecturers, employees and students for actively responding to the call to support people in disaster areas.

A representative of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City received the above amount of money and said that it will promptly allocate and support localities and people in the North affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11.
