The Admissions Council of the Foreign Trade University has just approved the minimum scores required for admission through three admission methods:
Admission Method 1 - Admission based on high school academic results for national and provincial/city-level outstanding students, and students from specialized programs.
Method 2 - Admission based on a combination of international language certificates and high school academic results/international competency certificates.
Method 5 - Admission based on the aptitude test scores of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam National University Hanoi .
Overall, the minimum admission score thresholds have remained stable over the years. In 2024, the number of early applications increased slightly compared to 2023, particularly for the combined admission method using international language certificates and international competency assessment certificates (SAT, ACT, A-level), where the number of applicants significantly exceeded the previous year. According to statistics, 196 candidates scored 1530 or higher on the SAT, 77 scored 1550 or higher, and notably, two candidates achieved near-perfect scores of 1590 on the SAT.

The Foreign Trade University also notes that candidates who meet the admission requirements should monitor information on the university's official websites and subsequent announcements to be aware of and carry out related tasks in the coming period.
According to regulations, candidates must submit their preferences to the Ministry of Education and Training 's common admissions system and graduate from high school to be officially recognized as admitted.
Scores are calculated on a 30-point scale. The method for calculating scores and converting international certificates, as well as converting scores from admission method 5, are specifically guided in the university's 2024 undergraduate admission plan.
The admission results will be sent to each candidate via the email address they registered. From June 17th, candidates can check their admission results on the university's online admission system at: https://www.tuyensinh.ftu.edu.vn.
In 2024, the Foreign Trade University will recruit 4,130 students and open several new majors, including Computer Science and International Business, under a dual-degree program with the University of Queensland, Australia.
Tuition fees for standard programs next academic year range from 22 to 25 million VND per year, high-quality programs from 45-48 million VND, and advanced programs from 68-70 million VND. For career-oriented programs, four programs – Hotel Management, Digital Marketing, Digital Business, and Integrated Marketing Communications – cost 60-65 million VND per year; the remaining programs cost 45-48 million VND.
