Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has just announced its projected enrollment plan for 2025. Accordingly, the university has adjusted and increased the enrollment quotas for several majors, such as Traditional Medicine (up 20% compared to 2024), Nursing (up 10% compared to 2024), and Pharmacy (up 30% compared to 2024). Enrollment quotas for the remaining majors remain unchanged.
Regarding admission methods, the school will implement six admission methods in 2025, including: High school graduation exam results; Direct admission according to the regulations of the admission rules; Using the results of aptitude and thinking assessment exams organized by other units for admission; Using only international certificates for admission; Combining high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission; and Using other methods.

Thus, compared to 2024, when there were only 3 admission methods (admission based on high school graduation exam results; direct admission; priority admission), Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has added 3 more admission methods.
Regarding the subject combinations for admission, the subject combinations for admission based on high school graduation exam results remain unchanged. A new point for 2025 is that the school will not apply a foreign language as a supplementary criterion when considering equal scores, unlike in 2024 and earlier years.
Eight major universities in the South will only use three admission methods in 2025.
The three methods used are direct admission, admission based on the results of the aptitude test organized by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; and admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam.
Ten major universities will hold their own entrance exams for the 2025 admissions season.
Six major universities in Ho Chi Minh City and four universities in other provinces and cities will conduct their 2025 admissions using a computer-based entrance assessment exam (V-SAT).

Associate Professor Bui Hoai Thang – Head of Training Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – said that the main admission method for next year will be a combination of selection based on multiple criteria.
