Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that although it is not a technical training school, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University has made its mark in the field of AI. Specifically, since the end of 2021, when the concept of AI was still quite vague in Vietnam, the school boldly announced the development of this industry.

The explosion of ChatGPT and AI from 2023 to now has proven the correctness and vision of this orientation. In addition, Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City is also in the top 3 first schools to develop FinTech and data science in Vietnam, covering almost all training programs on AI application skills in work for all sectors in the Southern region.

"The school has a special policy. PhDs in finance and banking under 45 years old are required to study for a master's degree in AI or big data. If they are over 45 years old, the school only encourages them to study. The goal is that by 2029, the school will have 100 PhDs in finance and banking who also have a master's degree in AI. This will create a solid interdisciplinary teaching team capable of developing AI platforms," Associate Professor Trung emphasized.
