As Thanh Nien reported, in the early morning of June 11, a group of criminals attacked the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes (Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak), killing 9 people including police officers , commune leaders and residents.

On June 23, the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department's Security Investigation Agency issued decisions to prosecute and detain 84 suspects for the crimes of terrorism against the people's government, failure to report crimes, concealing crimes, and organizing and brokering for others to illegally exit, enter, or stay in Vietnam.

On June 28, the Dak Lak Provincial Police Security Investigation Agency issued a special wanted notice for 5 related suspects.
