Algerian media impressed with the atmosphere of April 30th celebration in Vietnam

La Patrie News' reporter described the joyful and bustling atmosphere in the last days of April as Vietnam prepared to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Algeria's French and Arabic website La Patrie News on April 28 published an article praising Vietnam's heroic struggle and nation-building process after 50 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), and expressed its impression of the atmosphere of preparations for the great celebration.

In the article titled “ Celebrating 50 years of Vietnam's national reunification: The heroic fight to establish peace ,” a special correspondent of La Patrie News describes the jubilant, bustling atmosphere in the last days of April as Vietnam prepares to solemnly celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification, marking the end of a arduous but heroic struggle with enormous sacrifices against powerful external forces.

The author describes how on the streets, Vietnamese people of all ages poured into the squares to celebrate the victory with smiles on their faces and flags in their hands. The excitement of the celebration also spread to the tourists.

Huge posters were hung everywhere, on the streets and on buildings, recounting and summarizing this memorable victory.

According to the author, Vietnam's revolutionary doctrine and past are very close to Algeria's: it is based on a peaceful, tolerant and conciliatory approach; maintaining neutrality and non-interference in the affairs of other countries.
