These days, at Thuan An and Phu Thuan beaches, and roads in Chan May - Lang Co communes (merged from Lang Co town and Loc Tien, Loc Vinh, Loc Thuy communes), the youth of the Border Guard in coordination with the youth of other forces are implementing the "Green Sunday" movement, cleaning the sea, cleaning public areas, maintaining and preserving a green, clean and beautiful environment. Officers, soldiers and youth union members of the Thuan An Border Guard Station in coordination with volunteers from the "Garbage Lovers Association" have started planting more than 100 poplar trees in the protective forest area and Thuan An beach after cleaning the environment. "We choose to buy healthy seedlings, replant them in vacant areas, create thickness for the protective forest, and prevent erosion and landslides more effectively," said Senior Lieutenant Cao Duc Anh, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Thuan An Port Border Guard Station.
Previously, at the land border, officers, soldiers, and youth union members of Hong Van Border Guard Station and A Dot Border Guard Station effectively implemented the model of "Returning to the Village Day", helping border residents harvest rice on a total area of nearly 3 hectares, avoiding crop damage due to thunderstorms that often occur in mountainous areas. Officers and soldiers of the Training - Mobile Battalion; Vinh Hien Border Guard Station, Lang Co Border Guard Station, Squadron 2, etc., actively helped local residents repair rural roads and nearly 10km of intra-field canals, etc.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Hong Tuyen, Deputy Political Commissar of the City Border Guard Command, the youth of the Border Guard are the core and vanguard force in the task of protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security, as well as helping people in border areas develop the economy. Since the beginning of the year, the Youth Union of the units has actively carried out the movements "Youth of Hue City Border Guard builds new rural areas", "Return to the village day"; launched "Youth Month, March Border Month" and launched "Green Sunday, let's clean the sea"...; actively coordinated with local mass organizations and units to carry out activities to help people improve production land, change the structure of crops and livestock reasonably, and develop the economy.
In particular, the Youth Union of the units on the two border lines organized the planting of more than 11,000 trees of various types, including: fruit trees with high economic value, shade trees, wave-breaking trees, anti-erosion trees in coastal areas; nurtured and planted nearly 200 Lagerstroemia and yellow apricot trees, beautifying the landscape and environment. The Youth Union of the City Border Guard consulted and coordinated with philanthropists, sister units, and delegation organizations to visit and present nearly 1,000 gifts to people in the border areas; presented scholarships and bicycles to students in difficult circumstances who overcame difficulties to study well, with a total value of more than 500 million VND.

Shock to protect the Fatherland
Promoting the role and responsibility of youth in performing border defense tasks; promoting the youth movement to proactively carry out the task of protecting the sovereignty and security of the borders, seas and islands of the Fatherland through specific activities. Cadres, soldiers and youth union members of units on the two border lines are always the core and vanguard forces in patrolling, guarding, controlling, mobilizing the masses, searching and rescuing..., contributing to maintaining political security - social order and safety in the border areas.
Since the beginning of the year, nearly 300 cases/nearly 2,000 officers and youth union members have participated in patrolling to protect the border and sea areas; discovered and arrested law violators, of which 1 subject was prosecuted with 40 synthetic drug pills seized; 6 administrative violations/21 subjects were handled with 51 boxes of energy drinks seized, and a fine of 41 million VND was paid to the State Treasury. More than 220 border guards participated in oil spill response, cleaning up 242 tons of waste oil.
