Tuy Hoa: Meeting with patriotic political prisoners

The Association of Patriotic Political Prisoners of Tuy Hoa City has just held its third traditional meeting. Mr. Huynh Ngoc Oanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Tuy Hoa City People's Council, and more than 200 members of the Association of Patriotic Political Prisoners in the city attended.

 

Tuy Hoa City currently has 344 patriotic political prisoners association members, including 115 party members and 2 heroic Vietnamese Mothers.

 

At the meeting, former patriotic political prisoners together recalled the memories of the heroic years of struggle, always maintaining the spirit of resilience and indomitability, refusing to surrender to any torture of the enemy. Among them, there were many examples of steadfastness and indomitability, bravely sacrificing to protect the revolutionary ideals of the Communists. This was also an opportunity to encourage former patriotic political prisoners to continue promoting their heroic revolutionary nature and tradition, educating the younger generation to follow the example of their fathers and brothers in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today.

 

On behalf of the city's leaders, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Tuy Hoa City People's Council Huynh Ngoc Oanh acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the contributions of patriotic former political prisoners in the city in the cause of national liberation and reunification as well as in the current cause of national construction and defense; at the same time, he hoped that patriotic former political prisoners would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, educate and train the present and future generations to continue to promote that noble tradition.
